The spring and summer streets were ruled by one shoe, and one shoe only — the mule. Block heeled versions of a simple slip-on, this sandal seemed to take the place of the wedge for just about everyone. It was an easy to wear, 90’s-inspired silhouette that gave us all a welcome boost. but now that we’re setting our sights on the coming autumn months, we’re looking for the next It-shoe to fill the void.
